NEMS Producer Beat Battle - Presented By iStandard Producers

NEMS and iStandard are pleased to present the Producer Beat Battle specifically for producers in the Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B and Dance realm - The NEMS / iStandard Producer Showcase! Ten attendees, whose tracks were pre-selected by iStandard, will showcase 5 tracks (instrumentals or beats with hooks) before a panel of prominent music industry tastemakers. After each producer plays their music, the panel will then provide valuable constructive criticism, verbal feedback, and scoring based on Originality, Marketability, Usage of Elements, Fidelity, & Overall Potential. This event not only benefit the participants, but any aspiring producers, writers, artists, engineers, managers, and various other music industry affiliates in the audience. The iStandard Producer Showcase is a national event that been held monthly in New York since 2005, and also has occurred in Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, Phoenix, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Producers that have been a part of the iStandard Producer Showcase have had placements with artists such as 50 Cent, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Diddy, The Clipse, Jill Scott and more.
 

NEMS Producer Beat Battle - Presented by iStandard Producers
Submission Guidlines:

  • We are only accepting tracks from CONFIRMED NEMS Registrants. Any other email to this address will NOT be accepted!
  • Only ONE submission per registrant sent to the the following address by August 31, 2009: NewEnglandMusicSeminar@gmail.com
  • In order to qualify for the competition producers must include their Full Name, Production Alias and Phone
  • Number for proof of registration
  • Attach ONLY 2 Instrumentals or Beats w/Hooks in MP3 form (Please note upon submission, NEMS & iStandard Producers are not liable for the music sent via email)

From the MP3 Submissions, NEMS and iStandard Producers will qualify the TOP 10 producers to the preliminary round based on basic criteria such as quality, marketability, originality, etc. All producers will be notified by September 4, 2009. Those accepted to the beat battle will receive an acceptance email to participate in our beat battle, and will be briefed on the rules.
